2010 Super Stock Rules

Competing Models
Any V-8 American manufactured passenger car or pickup
104” wheelbase minimum
No vans, 4x4’s, station wagons or sports cars
Front engine, rear wheel drive only
No fiberglass bodies
Steel or factory appearing after market metal bodies only
After market front ends allowed
After market tail section allowed
Engines
Stock cast iron or aluminum intake manifold
Headers allowed
Stock or aftermarket cast iron heads only,  No aluminum heads allowed, Stock vortec heads OK
Stock cast iron block only
GM to GM, Ford, to Ford, Mopar to Mopar only
No nitrous or alcohol allowed
MSD optional
Master kill switch MANDATORY behind drivers seat, accessible from outside of car, Must be a clearly marked ON and OFF red switch
Number 1 spark plug to the ball joint
Electric fuel pumps not allowed
Transmission
Must be stock
After market clutch optional
Direct drives OK
2 driveline hoops mandatory, one front and one rear, no chains
Driveline must be painted white and have car number and class on it

Suspension
Suspension must be in stock location
Front springs may be changed but must remain in stock location
Right upper A-arm may be altered or after market, Lower must remain stock
Left upper A-arm may be altered or after market. Lower must remain stock
Weight jacks allowed
Sub framing of uni-body cars allowed, no late model chassis
Ride height of no lower than 4”
Carburetor
A) Single 2 or 4 barrel carburetor only
Modifications OK
No fuel injection or nitrous injection allowed
Fuel Cell
Fuel cell mandatory
Minimum of 2, 1” straps securing fuel cell
Mandatory firewall between the fuel cell and driver
No nitrous, blended, or alcohol fuel allowed
All fuel cells must be a minimum of 8” off the ground
All fuel lines running through drivers compartment must be ran though metal pipe from front firewall to rear firewall
Rear End
Must be in stock location
Locker OK
Ford 9” optional
Quick change optional
Chassis
Full stock frame or mix
Any full tube chassis will be classified as a Late Model
Roll Cage
Minimum 4-point roll cage with 3 sissy bars on driver’s side.
Two stiffeners from roll cage to rear of car optional
Racing seat with 4-point harness mandatory, 5-point recommended
Hoops or Halos OK
Framing of uni-body cars OK
Roll cage padding on bars with in drivers reach must be padded, must be non-flammable and securely fastened
Round steel tubing roll bars mandatory for the basic roll cage.
Aluminum and other soft metals are not permitted.

Tires
Nu-Tread track tire mandatory- available through track only
Car # and class on ALL tires
10” maximum width
Wheels
15” diameter 10” maximum width steel wheels
5/8” studs mandatory
no crimp on style lead weights
Nerf Bars
Nerf bars must be round tubing.
No sharp edges
No wider than frame horns
No higher than trunk lid or hood
Side nerf bars are optional must be no higher than 3” above spindle and no lower than spindle
End of nerf bars must be turned in towards car at BOTH ends
Maximum 1 nerf bar on each side of car
No external side bars around front of rear quarter panels
No outlandish front push bars (at techman’s discretion)
ALL alternate bumpers must be approved by head official, must be approved prior to installation
All bumper ends must be strapped to body with 1/8” steel a minimum of 1” wide to prevent bumpers from getting hooked. This is subject to inspection prior to each race
Bumpers may not be reinforced
Glass
All glass, interior and exterior must be removed
Front windshield must be Lexan.
Windshield must allow adequate visibility (at Techman’s discretion)
Windshield to be secured with a minimum of 4 tabs on outside of car
Two inside bars to secure windshield mandatory
One left side stock to body mirror is allowed
Rear window optional, Lexan only
Rearview mirror optional
Interior
All flammable material must be removed
Battery must be located behind drivers seat
Battery must be in a sealed box and securely bolted, or welded to floor, no bungee cords, chains, rope, or tape, etc… allowed.
Battery location/mounting must be approved by Techman prior to racing
ALL cars must have stock floorboards on driver’s side
Exhaust
104 DB at 50ft.
Dual 3” OD exhaust with any stock or aftermarket muffler required
Exhaust must dump out either side of car behind the drivers seat or further back
Wings and Spoilers
NO wings
FRONT spoiler or air dam must be vertical and 4” from ground
REAR spoiler max height is 6 1/2” from rear deck, no wider than width of car. Stabilizers must be approved by Techman prior to installation
All spoilers must be approved by Techman prior to installation
Safety
All drivers must wear fire suits while on the track, and in pit area
Helmet must be Snell 95 approved
Fire retardant gloves and shoes mandatory
Fire extinguishers mandatory and fully charged
Fire extinguishers must be securely mounted within easy reach of driver, Flameout system recommended
Firewalls must be made of steel no less than 20 gauge and must be securely fastened and sealed on top, bottom and both sides
Driver’s compartment floor and sides must be sealed
No fuel lines in driver’s compartment unless ran through steel pipe with no connections in driver’s compartment, and must run from firewall to firewall
Each pit stall must have fully charged fire extinguisher on hand
Lift hooks optional
5-point harness 5 year old max
Numbers
Numbers must be at least 24” tall on roof and at least 18” tall on BOTH doors
Roof numbers must face score tower and be fully legible
All external door bars must not interfere with legibility of numbers
Only 1 and 2 digit numbers may be used, letter may be added ONLY when number is already used in same class, and must be temporary use only
